I have edited more than 50 non-fiction books, first for Pen and Sword Books, and now independently. I specialise in true crime, history, memoir and biography, and subjects include serial killers, the nonconformist revolution, Victorian childcare systems, Dickens and travel, the search for Madeleine McCann, the history of horror films as well as biographies of Terry Pratchett, Jean Peters and Stan Lee. Known as a 'safe pair of hands', I'm a confident editor with a keen eye for a badly written sentence, repetition and a typo. I make bold decisions that improve the flow and structure of your book to ensure that the finished product is as good as possible. I offer copy editing, developmental editing and proofreading.
